Folks:

      Yesterday, 11/13/02, after fruitlessly looking for the return of the 
Tropical Kingbird along Coyote Creek, I stopped by State and Spreckles for 
Ruff mania, but struck out.  I then walked out north of the Alviso Marina and 
didn't find the Snowy Plover found on the weekend, but as a consolation I 
saw two SANDERLING.

      This morning, 11/14/02, I counted eight BROWN PELICANS in Salt Pond A2W. 
A male _columbarius_ MERLIN was having breakfast on the tower along Stevens 
Creek below Crittenden Lane.  The juvenile PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER was in his 
usual spot on the Stevens Creek Tidal Marsh.
