Around the middle parking lot and restroom, there was an enormous hullabaloo of American Robins. A Junco flock was also joining in the fun. Yesterday's mixed flock of Pine Siskins and Lesser Goldfinches was still around, although harder to find, but there was now also a conspicuous flock of Cedar Waxwings. I may have heard the Pygmy Nuthatch flock, but it was hard to be sure over the noise of the robins and the jays. There were some Flickers and other vocal woodpeckers, but I didn't find the 2 Red-breasted Sapsuckers that I had tentatively identified yesterday and was hoping to confirm. Eventually both the birds and I got a bit too wet and decided to call it a day. On a different subject: There have been some losses of SBB e-mail. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has definitely not received a recent SBB-addressed posting. I am NOT interested in hearing about mail that was received; almost all of it is. It's those erratic exceptions that are the problem, and it might be helpful to know which on-line services are involved.
