The juvenile PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER found last Friday was in the same spot this morning at 7:45 am. It was on the east side of the tidal marsh about a third of the way from the southern set of transmission towers to the observation platform. The only later record I have for this species is of two juveniles found by David Suddjian along Bloomfield and Fairview roads on 11/7/1993. Two BLACK SKIMMERS were flying over Charleston Slough and two BURROWING OWLS were on mound #2 at Shoreline Park.
