Fortunately I had my binoculars with me and got some great views of a Rock Wren instead. It stayed for a couple of minutes then flew off to the rocks in the hills. The Say's Pheobe was also hanging out on the fence. It seems to be a regular this time of year, but will disappear for afew days at a time then return. Other highlights were Wood Ducks in the creek, secretive but the males were calling, and great views of a Red Shouldered hawk. The field is across the street from Hellyer technology Park, off Hwy 101 south, (on the side where the hills and power lines are) and is the first field just North of the TYCO Electronics MA/COM building. A word of caution if this interests you. There is no stopping along Hellyer Ave. So park at your own risk! _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
