No luck with the American Bittern, but there is lovely habitat to hide in. A MARSH WREN may not be typical, at least I doubt that they are resident. Amongst the many enchanting sparrows was a drab immature WHITE-THROATED SPARROW about 10 m downstream of the bridge at Mission College Boulevard.
