In any case Frank Vanslager and I dropped by at about 11:00 AM and although we were unable to refind the bird I do believe that I heard it call at least once. The homeowner informed us that the bird actively calls in the mornings and evenings and is usually quite in the middle of the day. It is interesting to note that the home is located quite near what my Streets & Trips identifies as Game Refuge 3G. We were unable to verify this information as there are several long private driveways in this area. To bad the bird isn't countable! Take care, Bob Reiling, 1:00 PM, 7/2/02
