Parkaway Lanes did not yield any loons. A BROWN PELICAN was on the eastern shore. An OSPREY was on a tree along Monterey Highway south of the lake. Decided to try for the Mute Swans reported from the reservoir. This was my first visit to the area so I ended up at the wrong (southern) end. Spectacular scenery complete with a rainbow but no swans. By the time I got to the Anderson Dam entrance it was already closed. As I drove back along Cochrane Rd. I saw the parking lot for the Live Oak Area of the Anderson County Park. On a hunch, I stopped there and sure enough #212, a VARIED THRUSH was among the many AMERICAN ROBINS settling in for the night. 212 is not a lot by SBB standards but my target was to get above 200 and its been great fun getting to that mark. Thanks to everyone who posts sightings/directions. Best Wishes for a Great 2003, Vivek [[email protected]] _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
