I actually saw an adult in early December after the first big storm at Redwood Shores.) o Today, someone mentioned carcasses of several Brandt's Cormorants in Monterey or Santa Cruz. I don't know much about these birds, but the one at Los Gatos certainly looked out of place and a little forlorn. I am glad to hear from Bill Bousman that it looks healthy, however. I guess what may be bad for the birds is good luck for us birders.
