BRANDT'S CORMORANT did not leave its spot on the northeast corner of the big pond next to the parking lot at Los Gatos Creek Park. Other usual Oka Pond goodies seen - OSPREY perched on top of a tree on the southeast corner of the big pond. RING-NECKED DUCKs in the 3rd pond to the south; 2 HOODED MERGANSERs in the pond east of the creek; a solitary WILSON'S SNIPE sleeping on an island in the creek (only visible from east of the creek). A quick stop at Alamden Reservoir yieled no less than 56 WOOD DUCKS visible at once! Almaden Lk. had 3 WESTERN BLUEBIRDS near the restrooms. At Calero Reservoir - an adult BALD EAGLE was perched on top of an oak tree on the western shore (CBC week bird?) No loons anywhere, other than the loony wayward cormorant.
