Several other birders were there off and on (Kathy Parker, Mike Mammoser, Mike Feightner (sp), Peggy Don and her husband and more..). We all tried to encourage families and children to leave the bird alone. It let people walk right up to it, and kids chased it into the water at least once. Is it exhausted or sick? or..? There is also a PACIFIC LOON another birder discovered in the pond beyond the first big pond; it then flew to the 3rd pond.
