A call from a friend this afternoon brought me to Alamitos Creek trail in Almaden Valley
where I got very close looks at one female and two male Wood Ducks, a pair of Hooded
Mergansers and several female and one male Common Merganser. A Belted Kingfisher and Red
shouldered Hawk also made an appearance. I walked north from the Camden parking lot and
found them all between the par course numbers 16 and 14. Janna Pauser
