Today, (12/18) Saw an adult White-throated sparrow at a feeder at one of my
gardening clients in Menlo Park. Within a few minutes another White-throated
sparrow showed up, this one a tan-striped individual. Both fed on millet
seed in the company of a handful of Golden-crowned sparrows for a couple of
minutes before flying into the nearby honeysuckle thicket.


A short postscript off topic:

I have mentioned to a few on this list, for those who do not know,
my wife and I have purchased a home in Edgewood, NM just outside
Albuquerque.
We move at the end of the year. To all I have birded with and known for many
years, I thank you for your help and encouragement. Perhaps I'll see some of
you next summer in Silver City for the WFO conference.
