hi all,

it's the day after a big storm, and the first birds I see in the yard are 
Scrub Jays, making faster than usual, direct flights to and from the back 
yard.

in a moment I see what their purpose is: they are taking sunflower seeds 
from the feeder in the backyard and placing them, one by one, in dirt in the 
side yard.

not sure if this is unusual -- in all my years of watching I have never seen 
it or read of this behavior!
