This morning I got a call from Jim Danzenbaker so Frank Vanslager and I went 
out to Calero Reservoir and got fair (rainy) views of the RED-NECKED GREBE 
(an adult ?) that he had seen earlier.  It was diving near the red and white 
marker buoy to the far right of the boat ramp.  On our way home we stopped at 
Almaden Lake Park where we had a first winter PACIFIC LOON on the northern 
portion of the lake.  A quick stop at Los Gatos Creek Park failed to produce 
any rarities in the larger (northern most) pond.  A ROSS'S GOOSE was still 
with the CANADA GOOSE flock (about 90 strong) feeding on the lawn.
