This morning Frank Vanslager and I checked out the RED KNOTS at the mouth of 
Stevens Creek.  We were there at about 11:35 and should have been there an 
hour or more earlier.  There were easily as many REKN as Mike Rogers had 
reported yesterday (100 - 200) but we didn't take the time or the effort 
required to do a count.  On the way out we had at least one GOLDEN EAGLE on 
the powere towers (one in good light and the other in poor light, the bill 
looked huge on the one in poor light but no positive ID) and we had two good 
sightings of (a) juvenile SHARP-SHINNED HAWK (one on the bridge over Stevens 
Creek and the other near the mouth of the creek).
