On the upper end mudflats were seven WILSON'S SNIPE, one SPOTTED SANDPIPER, and two LEAST SANDPIPERS (again, unusual for this reservoir). Uvas Canyon CP: More adventures with Nicholas, my six-year-old grandson. We went to check Uvas Creek to see if we could find an American Dipper - no dippers, but we did find fresh whitewash on the rocks indicating that dippers may be nearby. However, we both saw a secretive WINTER WREN in the densely wooded creek bottom - a good little bird for a good little birder.
